Theodoros Gkrimpizis is an Agronomist, Oenologist, and a PhD candidate in Viticulture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His research focuses on Viticulture, specifically exploring the application of terroir to Greek grape varieties and the implementation of Precision Viticulture. Theodoros has actively contributed to research projects, including the creation and validation of vineyard zones (terroir), remote sensing in grape ripening, the development of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for viticultural practices, and projects aimed at enhancing the organoleptic characteristics of grapes. Additionally, he has gained practical experience in the private sector, working with various wineries in Greece, both during harvest and in the sales department.
