BSc in Environmental Science, MSc in Geoinformatics, PhD in Water Resources Management
Nikiforos Samarinas is an Environmentalist and holds a PhD in Water Resources Management and an MSc in Geoinformatics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). Participated in more than 15 European research projects in the last 7 years. He has over 7 years’ experience in water and soil management ecosystem using earth observation techniques, physical process-based models, advanced machine learning architectures and fuzzy numerical analysis. In the last 4 years he has been serving as a contractual assistant professor at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering (AUTH) teaching courses related to irrigation/drainage networks and land reclamation works. More than 15 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences.
