Kostas Karyotis

Kostas Karyotis is a PhD candidate at International Hellenic University, School of Science and Technology, in the domain of spaceborne imaging spectroscopy for soil science. From the position of research associate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he has participated in several EU funded research projects contributing to the domains of Remote Sensing, Earth Observation and Soil Spectroscopy. Since May 2020, Kostas has been serving as working group officer of “IEEE P4005 – Standards and protocols for soil spectroscopy”, leading the scientific effort to establish a universally accepted protocol for soil spectroscopy. He graduated in 2013 from the Department of Mathematics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki receiving his degree and since 2016 he holds the MSc in Webscience, delivered from the same school.
